MARTIN, Tenn. - The University of Memphis women's tennis team (9-5, 2-1 C-USA) swept UT-Martin, 7-0, in non-conference action, Wednesday.

The Lady Tigers swept the doubles point led by the No. 1 team of Sabrina Lindemann and Monica Gonzalez-Gordo, 9-8 (7). The Lady Tigers' No. 2 team of Sumitra Rao and Marlene Dirnstorfer won their No. 2 match, 8-1. UT-Martin did not have enough players to field a No. 3 doubles team and forfeited the No. 3 doubles and the No. 5 and 6 singles matches.

Memphis returns home to host C-USA foe Saint Louis, Friday, at 2 p.m. The Lady Tigers will then face SIU-Carbondale, Saturday morning before hosting Troy State at 2 p.m. The Memphis men's team will also be in action at the HPER Courts both Friday and Saturday.
