MEMPHIS, Tenn. - - The Lady Tiger tennis team (7-9) swept Austin Peay in a non-conference road match, 7-0, Saturday morning.

"It was good to get a win heading in to a long break in our schedule," Head Coach Lee Taylor Walker said. "That gives us some confidence and some time to work on some things heading in to the break."

Memphis won both of the doubles matches that were played after Austin Peay was forced to default the No. 3 doubles match and the No. 6 singles match due to a shortened roster.

All five Lady Tigers who played singles picked up straight set wins in the match following the pair of 8-3 doubles wins at No. 1 and 2 doubles.

The Lady Tigers will enjoy a break in the schedule before packing back up for a road trip to Arkansas State, Apr. 1st.
