Women's Tennis Downs Cincinnati, 6-1

BIRMINGHAM, ALA. - The University of Memphis women's tennis team improved to 10-10 on the season and 3-1 in Conference USA with a 6-1 victory over Cincinnati at UAB, Saturday. The Lady Tigers fell just two points short of sweeping the doubles points, winning the No. 2 and 3 matches, 8-3, before Cincinnati snuck a win in the No. 1 doubles match with a 9-7 decision. The Lady Tigers then won five of the six singles matches to pick up their 10th win of the season, with senior Viktoria Gruber and sophomore Andrea Feichtinger winning their respective matches at No. 2 and 3 singles in a super tiebreak. Memphis will wrap up its last regular season road trip against host UAB, Sunday, at 2 p.m. The Lady Tigers will wrap up their regular season at home Apr. 12th against Arkansas State.
