Three Lady Tigers Advance to Finals on Day Two in Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The University of Memphis women's tennis team wrapped up day two of the CCLR Collegiate Invitational with three Lady Tigers advancing to the championship matches in their respective draws.
Memphis began the day in doubles play with the No. 37 duo of senior Stefanie Mikesz and sophomore Caroline Wegner winning two matches to move on to the finals. The pair started off with an 8-6 victory over Texas Tech's Lynn Kiro and Sarah Toti before upsetting Ole Miss' No. 24 team of Caroline Rohde-Moe and Mariya Milutinovic, 8-6. Also in doubles play for the Lady Tigers was junior Alyssa Hibberd and sophomore Skylar Kuykendall, who fell 8-1 to Texas Tech's No. 9 Kenna Kilgo and Samantha Adams. The pair also dropped a close 8-6 decision to Arkansas' Yang Pang and Brittany Huxley.
In singles, Kuykendall advanced to the finals in the "A" Draw with a 6-1, 6-7, 6-3 victory over Kimberley-Ann Surin of Arkansas. In the "B" Draw, Wegner fell 6-2, 6-4 to Texas Tech's No. 98 Kilgo while Hibberd was defeated by Brittany Huxley of Arkansas, 6-2, 6-1.
