CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Senior Kristin Noble (Memphis, Tenn./Houston HS) advanced to the quarterfinals of the B Singles bracket on day one of the UTC Baras Fall Classic, Friday. Noble also teamed with junior Christina Wieser to advance to the quarterfinals of the B Doubles bracket.

Noble's win was the Lady Tigers' lone Round of 16 win, as both Brooke Cowie and Andrea Feichtinger were eliminated in the A singles bracket. Cowie fell, 6-0, 0-6, 6-3 to Bemlont's Tatiana Pozo, while Feichtinger fell to East Tennessee's Sywia Ziolkowska, 6-3, 7-6.

In C singles, Memphis suffered a pair of losses in the second round, as Flavia Russo fell to Jacksonville's Michelle Barnes, 6-2, 6-4 and Alex Tjioe fell to Lipscomb's Casey Hall, 6-0, 6-3.

All three Lady Tiger doubles teams advanced in the tournament, with Cowie and Ekin Zafir downed the team of Higgs and Lombardo from Jacksonville State, 8-3. They will now face No. 4 seed Donela and Leavy from UT Martin. Also advancing in A Doubles was the Lady Tiger team of Feichtinger and Tjioe. The duo earned a match with No. 2 seed Ilina/Ziolkowska of East Tennessee with an 8-6 win over the UNC Asheville team of Abbott and Fitzgerald.

The quarterfinal and semifinal rounds will be played Saturday, while the finals are scheduled for Sunday.
