MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Sophomore Alex Tjioe and freshman Katherin Kohl will square off at 9 a.m., Sunday, in the first semifinal in the Consolation C Singles Bracket at the Chattanooga/Baras Classic. Tjioe downed Mary Beth Gunn from UT-Martin, 6-1, 6-1, to advance to the semis, while Kohl rebounded from her first collegiate loss with two straight wins, including a 6-4, 6-2 win over UT-Martin's Monica Betram, 6-4, 6-2.

In other Lady Tiger action, senior Marlene Dirnstorfer overcame her second-round upset to down Delaine Hare from Wofford, 6-7, 6-0, 1-0. Dirnstorfer will face Jacksonville State's Zeynep Gurkaynak in the second semifinal in the A Consolation bracket beginning at 9 a.m., Sunday. Jacksonville State's Robin Gorman and Chattanooga's Lindsey Ballard will face off in the other semifinal, with the championship match slated to be played at noon.
