Marta Morga Wins Flight at Razorback Classic

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Freshman Marta Morga claimed her third consecutive victory Sunday to win the French Open Flight on the final day of the Razorback Classic.
Morga improved to 3-1 on the season following a 6-2, 6-1 triumph over Northwestern State's Daniela Simonova, her third straight-set victory on the weekend, to claim the title.
In the Wimbledon Flight, redshirt senior Liza Tymchenko defeated Arkansas' Brittany Huxley, 6-1, 6-3, while freshman Anki Wind posted her team-best fourth win on the year by taking down Tulsa's Dobby Leenabanchong, 3-6, 6-2, 6-1.
Sophomore Caroline Wegner also collected a win on the final day in Arkansas with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 victory over Northwestern State's Polina Konop in the U.S. Open Draw. In the same draw, junior Alyssa Hibberd fell to Tulsa's Renata Kuricova, 7-6 (5), 6-1, but joined Wegner to defeat Northwestern State's Konop and Tatiana Larina, 8-4, in doubles. Tymchenko and Morga also competed in doubles, falling 8-4 to Tulsa's Kuricova and Saana Saartienen.
The Lady Tigers return to action Oct. 18-22 when they host the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional at The Racquet Club of Memphis.
