CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Three doubles teams for the University of Memphis fell on the opening day of play at the ITA Southeast Regional, Thursday.

The team of Marjorie Ondeck and Lindsey Wiseman lost to the Charlotte team of Yudeshnee Pillay and Ana Spivakovsky, 8-3, while Dara Toulch and Ekin Zafir lost to UNC Greensboro's Valerie Behr and Jess Eblen, 8-5.

In the bottom half of the draw, Amanda Brown and Kristin Chamberlain fell 8-1 to the Louisville tandem of Lindsey Jones and Jo-Ann VanAerde.

Sophomore Marjorie Ondeck is the lone remaining Lady Tiger in the tournament. She will open play in the main draw, Friday, at 9:45 a.m. against Elon's Deanna Bailey.

Memphis will close out its fall schedule with its own fall tournament, Oct. 26-28, 2007.
