MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Memphis women's tennis is gearing up for two dual matches on the road this weekend. The Tigers (1-0) will travel to Clarksville, Tenn., on Friday, Jan. 20 to face in-state rival Austin Peay before battling against 13th-ranked Georgia Tech in Atlanta on Sunday, the 22nd.

Its last time out, 68th-ranked Memphis downed Miami (OH) 7-0, going a perfect 9-0 in all singles and doubles matches. Austin Peay (1-0) is coming off a 7-0 loss to 15th-ranked Vanderbilt.

The Tigers are 3-0 against the Lady Govs in dual matches under the leadership of Lee Taylor Walker, including a 4-0 victory in the last meeting between these two programs in 2010.

As for the Yellow Jackets, they opened their season last weekend at the Michigan Invitational but will kick off the dual-match part of their slate when it hosts seventh-ranked Georgia on Saturday and the U of M at noon Sunday at the Bill Morris Tennis Center.

Georgia Tech's lineup is headed by senior Jillian O'Neill, who was named the ACC's women's tennis player of the week on Tuesday and is ranked No. 45 in ITA polls in singles. The Yellow Jackets also boast 106th-ranked Viet Ha Ngo and the 33rd-ranked doubles team Caroline Lilley and Jasmine Minor.
