MEMPHIS, Tenn. -

Freshman women's tennis player Marjorie Ondeck became the first Lady Tiger in school history to receive a wild card in to the qualifying draw of the WTA Cellular South Cup, which began Friday. Ondeck, who is playing No. 1 singles and doubles for the Lady Tigers in just her first year of collegiate tennis, fell, 6-1, 6-0 to Latvia's Liga Dekmeijere in the opening round.

The Lady Tigers will hit the road for their next action, facing defending three-time NAIA national champions Auburn-Montgomery on the road, Feb. 24th. Memphis will then open Conference USA play with a Feb. 25th match at UAB.
