Women's Tennis to Begin Home Season at Rhodes College

Memphis, Tenn.-- - The University of Memphis women's tennis team (3-0) will be forced to open its home season on the outdoor courts at Rhodes College this weekend since the courts at Southern and Echles are not yet finished.
The Lady Tigers will host Lamar University (3-4) at 2:30 p.m., Friday. Two members of the Lamar team have winning singles records - Catalina Paz with a 5-1 record at No. 2 and Alta Wentzel with a 3-2 record at No. 3. The No. 3 doubles team of Kasia Finkowska and Jennifer Wright is 2-0 to lead the Lamar doubles teams.
The Lady Tigers are riding the strength of the duo of senior Christina Ladyman and sophomore Sabrina Lindemann. Both are undefeated in singles play and as a doubles team, the pair is 3-0. Ladyman is wrapping up her Memphis career, and posted her 81st career singles win with Memphis' 5-2 win over Davidson.
Memphis will also host a pair of in-state rivals over the weekend. The Lady Tigers will host Tennessee Tech, Saturday at 9 a.m., and UT-Martin at 2 p.m.
