The University of Memphis women's tennis team (1-3 overall, 0-1 C-USA) will return to action with a non-conference match at UALR, Tuesday.

The Trojans are coming into Tuesday's match sporting a 7-1 record. The one loss was to No. 75 Louisville three matches ago, as a young UALR roster looks to build some more momentum. With just one senior and two juniors, the young squad is led by junior Bindiya Parekh, who sports a 2-2 record at No. 1 singles. Sophomore Outi Jarvinen has also played a match at No. 1, carrying a 1-0 mark into Tuesday's match at No. 1. Jarvinen is also 2-0 at No. 2 singles and 1-0 at No. 3.

Sophomore Jenna Hirdle and Parekh have also split some time with Jarvinen at No. 2 singles. Hirdle is 1-1 at No. 2, while Parekh is 1-0. Junior Ellie Vicary is 2-0 at No. 3 singles for UALR, a spot she has split with Hirdle (2-0) and Jarvinen (1-0). Freshman Laetitia Bourgeon from France is 3-0 at No. 4 singles. Vicary has played No. 4 in the other two matches, carrying a 1-1 mark at No. 4. Sophomore Rosario Negrete is 3-1 at No. 5 singles, and senior Katie Prokop rounds out the top six singles players with a 4-0 mark at No. 6.

In doubles, UALR has not dropped a match all year. The duo of Jarvinen and Hirdle are 3-0 at No. 1 doubles, and the teams of Parekh and Negrete and Bourgeon and Prokop are each 1-0 at No. 1. The Parekh and Negrete team is also 2-0 at No. 2 doubles, while the team of Bourgeon and Prokop are 1-0 at No. 1, 2 and 3 doubles for the year.

The Lady Tigers will counter with senior Marlene Dirnstorfer at the top of the singles line-up. Dirnstorfer is 1-3 atop the singles line-up, while junior Andrea Feichtinger is 2-2 at the No. 2 spot. Freshman Brooke Cowie is playing at the No. 3 slot, where she is 1-3, while junior Kristin Noble carries a 2-2 mark at No. 4 singles so far this year. Sophomore Christina Wieser is 1-3 at No. 5 singles, and fellow sophomore Alex Tjioe is 1-2 at No. 6. Freshman Kathrin Kohl has also played one match at No. 6 singles, where she is 0-1.

In doubles, the Lady Tiger tandem of Dirnstorfer and Cowie are 2-2 at No. 1, while the team of Feichtinger and Tjioe are 1-2 at No. 2. The Lady Tigers are also 1-2 at No. 3 doubles, where Kohl and Noble have played all three matches at No. 3.

The Lady Tigers will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak. Following the UALR match, Memphis will host a trio of Conference USA teams in Memphis this weekend, beginning with Saint Louis, Friday, at 2:30 p.m. The Lady Tigers will also host DePaul and UAB this weekend.
