IRVING, Texas - Senior Courtney Collins was named Conference USA's Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday morning. This is Collins' second weekly honor of the season and the fourth of her career.

Collins defeated Virginia's No. 11 Julia Elbaba, 6-4, 6-4, Sunday to help Memphis pull off its biggest win in program history with a 5-2 victory over the 16th-ranked Cavaliers. The win over Elbaba was the second victory over a top-15 opponent this season and the second-highest ranked player she has defeated in her career.

Collins has amassed an 85-37 singles record as a Lady Tiger and is just 13 wins away from becoming the school record holder at the U of M.

The Lady Tigers are back in action tomorrow afternoon with a 3 p.m. contest against No. 17 Vanderbilt in Nashville.
