Live scoring vs. Baylor
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The No. 38 University of Memphis women's tennis team returns to action this week as they travel to Texas to face No. 16 Baylor and No. 55 North Texas. The Lady Tigers take on the Bears in Waco on Thursday at 5 p.m. (CT) before playing the Mean Green on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Denton.
Memphis (11-6) is coming off a 5-2 home win over No. 60 Louisville that extended its home win streak to 38 matches. Memphis freshmen Anki Wind and Marta Morga continued their dominance in singles play as they improved to a combined 21-1 this season in dual matches. Morga remains undefeated in dual play with a 10-0 mark and 20-5 record overall, while Wind is 11-1 during the dual season and 21-9 this season.
Scouting the Bears
Baylor sports a 12-6 record this season, having swept Big XII foes West Virginia and Iowa State last weekend. The Bears have four ranked players with Kiah Generette (34), Jordaan Sanford (48), Ema Burgic (74) and Blair Shankle (103). Shankle is also ranked in doubles at No. 40 with Victoria Kisialeva. Shankle and Sanford lead Baylor in wins during dual play with 13 wins apiece. Shankle is currently on an eight-match win streak while Sanford has won seven straight.
Scouting the Mean Green
North Texas comes into Saturday's match with an 8-8 mark and is on a three-match win streak with wins over Liberty, No. 69 New Mexico and Louisiana Tech. Kseniya Bardabush leads the Mean Green at No. 1.
