Lady Tiger Tennis Fundraiser Set for Sardis Lake, May 7th
April 1, 2005 MEMPHIS, Tenn. - It will be back on the lake for another Lady Tiger tennis fundraiser on Saturday, May 7th, as Lady Tiger head coach Charlotte Peterson will again host the University of Memphis/Champion Awards Lady Tiger Tennis Bass Fishing Tournament off Engineers Point at Sardis Lake, Miss. The top three finishers will win a trophy, while the top 10 will earn cash prizes. The first place prize is $1600, with second place paying $700. Third will pay $600, while fourth will pay $400. Fifth place will pay $250, sixth $150 and 7th-10th will pay $100 each. The entry fee is $125 per boat if the entry forms are returned prior to May 3rd. On-site registration will be $150 per boat. The entry fee does not include the Corps of Engineers User Fee. Each participant must register in person beginning at 4 a.m. Registration will end by 5:15 a.m. Flights will be determined by draw at registration, with all boats having to be in the water by 5:15 a.m. A meeting with all entrants will begin at 5:30 with blast off at 5:45 a.m. or first light. Check-in times will be announced at registration. The Bass Fishing Tournament has been a Lady Tiger fundraiser for the last seven seasons. Anyone interested in obtaining a registration packet with rules and a break-down of the prizes should call Head Coach Charlotte Peterson at (901) 678-2328. The Lady Tigers will wrap their 2004-05 home season with a Saturday match against UALR. That match will begin at 1:30 p.m.
