No. 56 Women's Tennis Closes Regular-Season at No. 26 Tulsa

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Memphis will travel to Tulsa, Okla., for its regular-season finale against No. 26 Tulsa on Sunday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The Tigers are ranked 56th in the ITA standings and sport a 15-3 (2-0 C-USA) record on the season. Courtney Collins leads a trio of ranked Tigers in singles. With a 14-2 record in singles, the ITA poll has Collins ranked 32nd in the country. Mariya Slupska and Stefanie Mikesz join Collins in the rankings at Nos. 80 and 86, respectively. Tiffany Welcher, the Conference USA Player of the Week, and partner Alyssa Hibberd are the 59th-ranked doubles team in country. Playing No. 1 doubles for the U of M, Welcher and Hibberd are 9-3 on the season. The 26th-ranked Tulsa Golden Hurricane is 18-3 (4-0 C-USA) on the season, including an 8-3 mark against ranked foes. Samantha Vickers (No. 67) and Anastasia Erofeeva (No. 70) both appear in the ITA rankings in singles and Erofeeva and Ewa Szatkowska are the 88th-ranked doubles team. Following Sunday's match, the Blue and Gray will return to the Bluff City and begin preparation for the 2012 Conference USA Women's Tennis Championship. Memphis is hosting the tournament at the Dunavant-Wellford Tennis Center at Memphis University School from April 19-22.
