MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Off-season knee surgery kept the lone senior on the University of Memphis women's tennis team off the court during the fall, but she still shined in the classroom, being one of seven women's tennis players named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team that was announced Wednesday.

Wieser was voted to the team by the league Sports Information representatives and similar to her being the lone senior on the Lady Tiger roster, she is also the lone senior voted to the team. With her bachelor's degree already in hand, Wieser is working on her Master's degree in Business Administration after receiving her bachelor's degree in business marketing in December. A three-time member of the Conference USA Academic Honor Roll and a two-time Commissioner's Academic Medalist, Wieser is also an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athlete and a five-time member of the Tiger 3.0 Club.

She is joined on the team by two representatives from East Carolina (Hannah Priest and Alex Smith), Marshall's Jessica Keener, Rice's Dominique Karas, SMU's Natalia Bubien and Tulsa's Agostina Santoro.

The Lady Tigers are currently en route the league championships, which are being hosted by the University of Tulsa. Memphis will face UTEP, Thursday, at 2 p.m. in the opening round match.
