Memphis, Tenn. -- - The University of Memphis women's tennis team added one player to it 2000-2001 roster with the signing of Rebecca Garner.

Gardner, a graduate of The Billericay School in Bluericay, Essex, England, has won over 30 titles in her junior career. That total includes a doubles win at one of the largest tournaments in England, the Essex Open, where she won the U16 Mixed Doubles Title, defeating the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds who both have a world junior doubles ranking.

Gardner is the daughter of Roy and Jacqueline Garner.
