MEMPHIS, Tenn. - University of Memphis women's tennis player Marlene Dirnstorfer (Pinsdorf, Austria) was named to the Co-SIDA Academic All-District IV At-Large Second Team, Monday.

The senior, who will return next season to complete her eligibility while enrolled in graduate school, led the Lady Tigers with a 17-6 mark at No. 1 singles, helping her earn third team All-Conference USA honors. Dirnstorfer, who is majoring in international business, also teamed with Victoria Gruber last season to post an 11-11 mark at No. 1 doubles.

The Pindsorf, Austria, native was an ITA Scholar Athlete last season, and becomes the third Lady Tiger in two years to earn Co-SIDA academic recognition. Sabrina Lindemann and Monica Gonzalez-Gordo were each third team selections to the same academic team last season. A member of the Conference USA Academic Honor Roll, Dirnstorfer carries a 3.83 GPA.

The Women's At-Large Academic All-District IV team is made up of student-athletes from Division I schools in Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee. Dirnstorfer was one of just three student-athletes from the state of Tennessee on the list of honorees. Louisville's Allison Kemphaus, a member of the rowing team, was the only other Conference USA student-athlete on the District IV team.
