MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Tennisrecruiting.net selected the Memphis recruiting class, which currently consists of Courtney Collins, a native of Fulton, Miss., and Murfreesboro, Tenn., product Kelly Gray, as the No. 16 recruiting class among mid-major women's tennis programs. Gray, a three-star recruit as ranked by the site, is currently the third-best player in the state of Tennessee and the 52nd-ranked netter in the Southeast Region. Coach Lee Taylor Walker's class was also picked as the No. 4 class in Conference USA.

Collins is one of three five-star recruits signed by Conference USA schools. The site has tabbed Collins as the 66th-best player nationally, as well as the No. 25 player in the Southeast Region and the best player in the state of Mississippi.

The women's tennis program is slated to begin action in the fall with a bevy of tournaments scheduled, beginning with the William & Mary Invitational beginning on Sept. 11. The Lady Tigers will also play host to a tournament beginning on Sept. 18 and ending on Sept. 20. Memphis' roster will feature four seniors, one junior, two sophomore and Collins and Gray, the two incoming freshman.
