The women's tennis team earned a fifth ITA All-Academic Team honor Thursday.

For the fifth consecutive season, the University of Memphis women's tennis team was honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), being named an ITA All-Academic Team for posting a team GPA of 3.2 or higher. Memphis was one of seven American Athletic Conference women's teams recognized by the ITA Thursday.

Memphis also had six individuals earn ITA Scholar Athlete Awards for posting a GPA of 3.5 or higher during the 2013-14 academic year. Senior Liza Tymchenko, junior Alyssa Hibberd, sophomores Skylar Kuykendall and Caroline Wegner and freshmen Marta Morga and Anki Wind were all named Scholar-Athletes. It is the second career academic honor for Hibberd, Kuykendall and Tymchenko from the ITA.

Morga and Wind were both also American Athletic Conference all-conference honorees. Morga, a two-time conference player of the week, was second on the team with a 24-6 record, posting a 14-1 mark in dual season play. Wind led the squad in overall wins (25) and dual season wins (15). She was also a conference player of the week honoree.

The women's tennis team finished the 2013-14 season with a 14-9 mark in the spring and ranked No. 41 in the country in the end of year polls.
