MEMPHIS, Tenn.-- - Similar to the men's schedule, the women's tennis team will play in the first of two consecutive weekend tournaments, starting at the Lady Raider Fall Invitational before hosting the University of Memphis Invitational next weekend.

Senior Marlene Dirnstorfer and junior Andrea Feichtinger will represent Memphis in the A Singles bracket. Dirnstorfer will open her schedule against Western Kentucky's Ieva Balcus at 10:30 a.m., while Feichtinger opens against Belmont's April Bradley at 11:30.

In B Singles, freshman Brooke Cowie will start play against Morehead State's Verena Baernwick at 10 a.m., while junior Kristin Noble faces Ball State's Haly Calderwood at 10:30 a.m.

In C Singles, sophomore Christina Wieser will open against Ole Miss' Claire Conerly at 9 a.m., while fellow sophomore Alex Tjioe will see Bonnie Adams of Chattanooga on the other side of the net beginning at 9:30 a.m.

In the D Singles bracket, freshman Katherin Kohl will face Chattanooga's Francesca Guerrieri at 9 am. To round out the tournament, four Lady Tiger tennis tandems will compete in doubles.

Dirnstorfer and Cowie will play Ball State's Stephanie Farrar and Jennifer Pollack at 2:30, Friday, while Feichtinger and Noble will face Chattanooga's Ballard and Adams at 2:30 p.m. In B Doubles, Tjioe and Wieser will face Cumberland's Paula Guzman and Stephanie Wuenscher at 2 p.m.

The duo of Kathrin Kohl and Monica Bertram from UT-Martin will team to play in a three-team, round robin format beginning at 2 p.m., Friday.
