MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis women's tennis team have been accepted in to the draw at the ITA Southeast Regional, being held Wednesday through Sunday at the University of North Carolina. The ITA Regionals are eight different tournaments with participants competing in their respective regions against the best in the region.

"The Southeast Region is one of the toughest regions in the country with multiple top 10 and top 25 programs," head coach Lee Taylor Walker said. "It's a great chance for our team to see and compete against a level that we are aspiring to be at."

Sophomore Amanda Brown and junior Kristin Chamberlain will start their respective schedules in the pre-qualifying draw on Wednesday evening, while Ekin Zafir, Dara Toulch and Lindsey Wiseman will also begin play in the qualifying draw on Thursday. Sophomore Marjorie Ondeck was accepted in to the main draw at the ITA Southeast Regional, and will begin singles play on Friday. All three Memphis doubles teams are starting their run in the main draw on Thursday night.

Memphis has two weekends left on the fall schedule, including this weekend's regional. Next weekend, the Lady Tigers will host their annual Memphis Fall Invitational.
