2010 Outdoor: Emerged as the Lady Tigers best pole vaulting threat...runner-up at Rhodes Open, where she earned with a 3.34m (10'11.5") vault...earned her second all-conference selection as a freshman with a 3.47m (11'4.5") height at the conference championships.
2010 Indoor: Was top-three three times in her first indoor season...earned runner-up honors at the SIU Mcdonald's Invite, where she had a 3.40m (11'1.75") jump...season-best 3.55m (11'7.75") vault came at the opportune moment, which was the C-USA Championships, where she placed third.
Academics: Earned a spot on the C-USA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll as a freshman...had a semester on the Dean's List and two in the Tiger 3.0 Club.
Prior to Memphis: Broke three school and district records while participating at Higley High School in Gilbert, Arizona... Holds the district and school records for pole vault, long jump and sprint medley...Received second team All-State Track honors... Was first place in pole vault at the Arizona State Championships in 2009 and third place in 2008... Her career high pole vault jump is 11'4" which was set last season... Also competed in long jump and triple jump at Higley High... Lettered in Basketball, Volleyball, Cross Country and Track & Field.
Personal: She is the daughter of Val and Tonya Gale... An emerging leader at the U of M... Her nickname is LG... Her hobbies are pole vaulting, running, competing and training... Was top-five percent in her graduating class and a finalist for the Wendy's High School Heisman Award.
