Keenan Gibson enters her second year with the Lady Tiger coaching staff after a stellar sprinting career for the U of M. In 2003, Gibson became the first Lady Tiger to qualify for the NCAA Championship when she advanced through the NCAA Mid-East Regional in both the 100m and 200m dashes.
In the summer of 2004, Gibson was a member of the Olympic 4x100m relay team for her native country of Trinidad and Tobago, before she was unable to compete due to an injury.
As a sprinter for the U of M Gibson's best times were 7.60 (60m), 11.48 (100m) and 23.36 (200m). She currently holds the Memphis school records in the 60m dash and 200m dash.
Gibson continues to train and work toward the her degree in public relations as she works with the Lady Tiger sprinters.
