1998-99: Had set a school record during the indoor season in the 20-pound weight throw with a toss of 16.04 meters (52-7.5), which teammate Kameilah Amaya broke later in the season...Finished ninth in the shot at the C-USA Indoor Meet and 10th in the weight throw...Set a personal record and finished tied for eighth at the Alabama Invitational with a 43-5 put in the shot...Finished fourth in the hammer throw at Ole Miss with a toss of 141 feet...Hardy finished 10th at the C-USA Outdoor meet.

Prep: Hardy graduated from Benjamin Banneker High School in College Park, Georgia...She lettered four years in track, basketball, and sofball...Her best throw in the shot was 42-9.75...Her best mark in the discus was 114 feet...She won the Georgia state championships in 1997 in the shot put...Her freshman year she finished third in Georgia in the shot...Hardy was also a stand-out academically...She was on the honor roll at Benjamin Banneker, and was a member of the National Honor Society.
