2008 Outdoor: Kershaw competed in two meets during the 2008 outdoor track and field season...She recorded two times in the 100m dash and one mark in the 200m dash...At the John McDonnell Invitational, she ran her season best in the 100m dash with a time of 12.34 in the preliminaries...She also ran the 200m dash with a time of 26.32 in the preliminaries at the same meet...Her last race of 2008 was the 100m dash at the Ole Miss May Invitational where she ran a 12.50 time.
2008 Indoor: Kershaw competed in seven meets during the 2008 indoor track and field season...She participated in the 55m dash, the 60m dash and the long jump for the Tigers...She recorded five combined top-5 finishes during her 2008 indoor campaign...She placed fourth at the Arkansas State kickoff meet with a time of 7.10 in the 55m dash...At the SIU SASF Invitational, she recorded a third place finish in the 60m dash with a time of 7.71...She registered personal indoor best records including indoor long jump with a distance of 5.46m (17-11.00) and in the 55m dash with a time of fourth place time of 7.08 at the Arkansas State Invitational...At the 2008 C-USA Indoor Championships, she recorded a personal best 60m dash time of 7.58 in the preliminaries.

Prior to Memphis:Ran track for four years at Madison Shannon Palmer High School ... A two-year team MVP, she won the Class 3-A state championship in both the 100 and 200 meters in 2006 ... Took third at the state finals in the long jump in 2006 ... Also lettered four years in basketball, where she played shooting guard.
Personal: Is the daughter of Bobbie and James Kershaw ... Born Sept. 25, 1987 in Clarksdale, Miss. ... Plans to major in education ... Came to Memphis because she felt that she could achieve a lot here ... Her goal is to become a high school English teacher.
