Greg Moore enters his second season as a member of the U of M coaching staff as a volunteer assistant with the sprinters. In his first season, Moore and Coach Cash saw their sprinters make tremendous improvements, with nearly every athlete setting personal record times.
Moore brings a wealth of experience, both on the track and in the coaching ranks, to the U of M A former All-American at Benjamin Franklin High School in Philadelphia, Pa., Moore attended Arizona State University, where he earned All-America honors in the 100m and 4x400m relay. He also competed in the 1984 and 1988 US Olympic Trials in the 200m.
After graduating from ASU with a degree in criminal justice, Moore spent the 1988 season as an assistant for the Sun Devils. He then coached at LaSalle University, where he was the 1992 MAAC Coach of the Year, and at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock before coming to Memphis.
Coach Moore currently works with Fellowship of Christian Athletes, visiting with and speaking to student-athletes at high schools in the Memphis area.
