2011 Outdoor: Broke school records in the 100m and 400m hurdles... NCAA Regional participant in both disciplines... One win and 12 top-five finishes in 2011... Started the season with runner-up finishes in the 100m (13.80s) and 400m hurdles (1:00.95s) at the Rhodes Open... Was runner-up in the 100m (14.09s) and 400m hurdles (1:03.03s) at the SEMO Invite... Won the 100m hurdles at the Tiger Invitational with a 13.76s mark, and was third in the 400m hurdles at 1:01.86s... set personal-bests and school records in the preliminary rounds of the 100m hurdles (13.64s) and 400m hurdles (59.99s) at the C-USA Outdoor Championships... Finished sixth (13.90s) and fourth (1:00.02) in the 100m hurdles and 400m hurdles, respectively, in the finals at the C-USA Outdoor Championships... At the NCAA East Regional, finished tied for 42nd in the 100m hurdles (14.21s) and 47th in the 400m event (1:03.50s) to end her Memphis career.

2010 Indoor: Picked up three victories and her third all-conference nod during indoor season...Set a school record in the 60-meter hurdles during her victory at the Hoosier Hills with an 8.49 second mark, which she would later tie during the C-USA Championship prelims; that mark ranked 73rd in the nation...Finished fifth in the finals of the 60m hurdles at the C-USA Championships.

2009 Outdoor: Competed in six meets during the outdoor campaign and had eight top-five finishes...Finished second in the 100m hurdles at the Memphis Tiger Invitational with a time of 13.94...Set a personal-best 100m time of 13.60 in the prelims of the C-USA Outdoor Championships...Finished first in the 400m hurdles at the Memphis Tiger Invitational with a personal-best time of 1:01.06...Qualified for the NCAA Regionals but was unable to participate.

2009 Indoor: Competed in five meets for the Lady Tigers and had four top-15 finishes...Finished second in the 55m hurdles at the SEMO Invite with a personal-best time of 8.40....Finished sixth in the 60m hurdles at the EIU Mega Meet...Set a personal-best 60m hurdles time of 8.75 in the prelims at the C-USA Indoor Championships...Set a personal-best 200m dash time of 26.78 at the Rod McCravy Invite, but her best finish in the 200m dash came at the EIU Mega Meet as she finished 12th.

Prior to Memphis: Attended Barton County Community College for two years...Ran the hurdle events for the track and field team...Honored as 2008 All-Kansas Jayhawk CC Conference...In 2008, won the NJCAA National Championship in the 400m hurdles with a time of 59.23 and placed third in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.61.

PREP: Received four letters for track and field at Westbury High School in Houston, Texas...Personal best records in high school in the 100m hurdles was 14.02 and in the 300m hurdles her best time was 43.24...

PERSONAL: Daughter of Dwayne and Kaynell Simpson...Activities include reading, shopping and volunteering at hospitals...Has two older siblings, Rasheeda and Dwayne Simpson Jr.
