Named to the 2012 USTFCCCA Women's All-Academic Team ... Notched a combined top-10 finishes in the shot put and hammer throw ... Recorded a personal-best in the hammer of 48.38m (158'9") ... Had a season-best performance in the shot put at the Vanderbilt Black and Gold Invitational with a mark of 13.86m (45'5.75") ... Scored overall team points at the Conference USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a seventh place in the hammer throw (46.87m, 152'9") ... At the Memphis Invitational, scored a 12th-place finish and set a new personal-best in the discus 33.50m (113'2").
2012 Indoor
Earned All-Conference USA first team honors ... Recorded a combined five first-place finishes in the shot put and weight throw ... Won gold at the Conference USA Indoor Championships in the weight throw with a toss of 19.39m (63'7.5") ... Placed first and set new personal-bests in the shot put (14.77m, 48'5.5") and weight throw (19.39, 63'7.5") at the SEMO Redhawks Invitational earning C-USA Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors (2/21/11) ... Took the weight throw title at the Vulcan Invitational with a mark of 18.76m (61'6.75") ... At the Arkansas State Kickoff Klassic placed first in the weight throw with a toss of 17.50m (57'5").
2011 Outdoor
Threw well in her first outdoor season for the Tigers ... Started the season with a sixth-place finish in the shot put at the Rhodes Open with a 12.38m (40' 7.5") toss...Had a nice hammer throw at the LSU Relays, where she finished eighth with a 46.78m (153' 6") mark...Had a career day at the Tiger Invitational, with career-best marks in the hammer throw (46.93m; 154' 0") and the shot put (13.27m; 43' 6.5"); she finished fifth and seventh in the respective events.
2011 Indoor
Had three top-three performances as a freshman in the weight throw, the first of which came at the EIU Mega Meet, where she was third with a 16.01m (52' 6.50") toss ... Followed that up with a personal-best 16.78m (55' 0.75") toss at the Hoosier Hills Invitational, where she also finished third ... Final third place finish came at the SEMO Invite, with a 15.92m (52' 2.75") throw ... Earnedpoints at the conference meetbehind her seventh-place, 16.76m (55' 0") throw at the C-USA Indoor Championships.
Prior to Memphis
Was a captain and three-year letterman in shot put and discus at Ballard High School ... Was outdoor shot put runner-up in 2008 ... Was indoor state shot put champion in 2008 and 2009 ... Was also captain of the varsity cheerleading squad and lettered for two years on the swim team.
