CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.-The University of Memphis women's track and field team's short sprint and field athletes got a final tune- up before the American Athletic Conference Championship, on Friday, competing at the SEMO Redhawks Invitational.

In the 55m, DaQuanya Byrd-West (7.14), Destinee Landsden (7.42) and Meghan Christensen (7.58) placed second, third and fifth respectively. Laura Toldy (9.20) and Syndey Wright (10.47) placed in order second and third in the 55m hurdles.

Toldy also took third in the high jump clearing 1.66m (5'5.25"). Toldy and Wright placed third and fourth in the long jump, with Wright landing at a new personal-best of 5.35m (17'6.75") and Toldy at 4.98m (16'4.25"). In the triple jump, Chardae Greenlee placed first with a mark of 12.21m (40'.75").

In the pole vault, the Tigers took the title as Carolina Carmichael cleared a new personal-best of 3.87m (12'8.25"). Kimi Jennings took third with a new personal-best of 3.57m (11'8.5").

The Tigers notched two podium finishes in the shot put. Vivian Brandhoff took second at 14.95 (49'.75), followed by Britta Jaarats in third at 14.50 (47'7"). Courtney Kreuger took sixth with a new personal-best of 12.51m (41'.5").

In the weight throw, Cyarra Wells took third with a throw of 18.71 (61'4.75"). Jarrats placed fifth with at mark of 17.96 (58'11.25").
