Houston, Texas - - The University of Memphis women's track and field team wrapped up its indoor season with an eighth-place finish at the Conference USA Indoor Championships, Saturday.

The Lady Tigers posted one second and one third place finish. Junior Barbara Wine (Pampa, Texas) finished second in the shot put for the second consecutive year with a mark of 13.69 meters (59-2.75). Sophomore Monique Nelson (Freeport, Texas/Brazosport) finished fourth in the shot with a mark of 13.19 meters (43-3.25).

Freshman Keenan Gibson posted a fourth and fifth-place finish in the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes, respectively.

The University of South Florida won its second straight team title with 112.50 points. Tulane was second with 101 points, while host Houston rounded out the top three with 95 points.
