Tigers Run on Day One of NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships

EUGENE, Ore.- Kala Funderburk (400m) and Maya Williamson (400m hurdles) took to the track in semifinal round action at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Wednesday.
Funderburk was unable to advance in the women's 400m semifinal finishing fourth in her heat in a time of 53.14. Funderburk finished 16th overall in the semifinal round earning All-America second team honors.
Williamson was unable to advance in the women's 400m hurdles semifinal finishing seventh in her heat in a time of 59.52. Williamson finished 17th overall in the semifinal round.
On Thursday, Xenia Rahn and Luis Hanssler will be the next Tigers to compete at the 2013 NCAA Outdoor Championships. Rahn begins competition in the women's heptathlon at 3 p.m. (CT), with Hanssler set to compete in the men's long jump at 6:30 p.m. (CT).
Thursday's competition at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be broadcast on ESPN3 beginning at 5:50 p.m. (CT). Results will be posted on GoTigersGo.com as they are made available.
