Rahn Completes Heptathlon at NCAA Outdoor Championships
EUGENE, Ore.- University of Memphis track and field athlete Xenia Rahn placed 18th in the women's heptathlon at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday. Over two days of competition, Rahn tallied a score of 5,427 points.
In Friday's action, Rahn notched 816 points in the long jump with a new personal-best of 5.89m (19'4"). Rahn scored 619 points in the javelin with a throw of 41.18m (135'1"). In the 800m, Rahn tacked on 714 points with a time of 2:28.33.
On Thursday, Rahn picked up 968 points in the 100m hurdles running a personal-best of 14.07. She later notched 806 points in the high jump at a height of 1.66m (5'5.25"), followed by an additional 625 points in the shot put with a throw of 11.86m (38'11"). Rahn rounded-out Thursday's competition scoring 781 points in the 200m with a personal-best of 26.18.
The NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships conclude on Saturday. Manuel Ziegler will be the final Memphis athlete to compete at the event. Ziegler is scheduled for competition in the men's triple jump at 2:30 p.m. (CT).
