EUGENE, Ore. - The University of Memphis will have two representatives in the shot put finals at the 2008 Olympic Trials, as both Susan King and Gail Lee advanced to Saturday's finals. The finals start at 3:50 p.m. CT on Saturday. TV coverage of Saturday's events will air from 4-5 p.m. on NBC.

The top 12 athletes advanced on to the finals. Lee will have the fifth-highest mark entering the finals. Her first throw in the prelims was 16.79 meters. After fouling her second throw, she came back with a mark of 17.33 meters (56-10.25).

King's best mark came on her first throw of the day. Her distance of 17.02 meters (55-10.25) was good enough to give her the ninth best throw entering the finals.

The top three throwers from Saturday's finals will solidify a spot on the 2008 Olympic team to represent the United States.
