Women's Results Get Acrobat Reader

The University of Memphis cross country teams participated in the Ted Lloyd Bison Stampede Saturday with both the men’s and women’s teams finishing third. The women’s cross country team had four top-20 finishers in the Ted Lloyd Bison Stampede.

Freshman distance runner Kayleigh Brown led Lady Tiger finishers with an eighth place finish time of 20:40.48. Sophomore Jasmine Darden and freshman Louisa Lingley finished 10th and 11th respectively. Darden posted a time of 20:52.15 followed by Lingley’s 20:58.92. Freshman Brittany Duboise finished 16th with a time of 21:33.21. The women’s team finished third overall with 66 points trailing the host Harding University (23 points) and Arkansas Tech University (51 points).

Junior distance runner Jacob Chapman led Memphis for the fifth-consecutive meet with a sixth place finish time of 27:11.65. Jorgen Ekdahl finished 10th with a time of 27:35.07. Junior Edwin Kipkorir competed for the first time in the cross country season and posted a time of 28:15.11, finishing 15th. The men’s team finished third overall with 72 points behind host Harding University’s 39 and second place finisher Christian Brothers 61 points.

The Memphis cross country teams will return to competition on October 31 in Houston, Texas at the C-USA Championship meet.
