Memphis Women Run at the C-USA Cross Country Championship

Hattiesburg, Miss. -University of Memphis cross country squads took to the trail for the final time at the Conference USA Championship, on Monday. The men's team took a program-best 4th-place overall, with the women finishing 10th.
The men's fourth-place finish was their highest ever at the C-USA Cross Country Championship. The squad had never finished inside the top-five, recording a program best of sixth place three times (1998, 2001, and 2011). Tulsa won the men's title, with UTEP and Rice finishing second and third overall.
James Maglasang (25:02.70) and Daniel Kuhman (25:10.20) were the top-two finishers for the Tigers, receiving All-C-USA honors with 13th and 14th-place finishes. Julien Wolf (25:38.10, 22nd), Austin Carter (25:48.90, 27th) and Aiden Galasso (25.55.40, 30th) all placed in the top-30.
Louisa Lingley (18:09.50, 29th) and Nandia Taylor (18:28.20, 37th) were the top-two finishers for the women in their 10th-place finish. Jenny Johnson (18:38.10, 43rd), Alisha Fitch (19:20.00, 59th) and Meagan Nichols (19:29.90, 64th) all finished in the top-65. Taylor Kriha (20:25.80) and Jessica Tatum (20:49.20) each finished 82nd and 85th respectively.
