The University of Memphis men's track team placed third and the women's team placed fifth at the Kickoff Klassic Indoor Track Meet at the Convocation Center in Jonesboro, Ark. Two men and one women claimed individual titles with one Tiger setting a new meet record.

In the women's triple jump, Lady Tiger Lisa-Marie Hyman set a new meet record with a jump of 39-7 1/4. On the men's side, Fotis Fotiou won the high jump with a leap of 6-6. Ryan Smith of Memphis edged Seth Bortey of Arkansas State in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:02.77.
