Memphis, Tenn.- The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Association released its regional rankings on Monday. The Tiger men continued to hold strong at the No. 9 spot, while the women returned to the top 15 checking in at No. 14 in the South Region team standings.

For the Memphis men this is the fourth week in a row to be ranked ninth. In the in South Region men's event rankings, four Tigers make an appearance as Karlis Pujats ranks second in the pole vault, Tom Willcox sixth in the weight throw, Dan Kuhman eighth in the 5,000-meter run and Marc Klaschka sixth in the heptathlon.

In the South Region women's team rankings, Memphis is back in the top 15 after a brief absence. In South Region event standings, Cyarra Wells ranks fifth in the weight throw, while the team of Kala Funderburk, Monica Mason, Maya Williamson, and Keyona Neal rank eighth in the 4 x 400-meter relay.

Memphis returns to action this week at the Conference USA Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Ala. The two day competition is set to begin Saturday Feb. 25.
