Jonesboro, Ark.-- - Freshman Cherishe Hollingsworth is in second place following the end of the day one heptathlon events at the Arkansas State Track Classic. Hollingsworth is second with 2,354 points, while ASU's Edith Montgomery leads the competition with 3,210 points.

Hollingsworth's biggest point gainer on the day was the 200, where she finished in 26.03 seconds to pick up 795 points. The freshman has finished second in three of the four events from the first day, finishing fourth in the high jump.

The meet continues, Friday, with the long jump, triple jump and 800-meter run. The remainder of the Lady Tiger track team will join Hollingsworth in Jonesboro, Saturday, when the meet concludes.
