MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Tiger track and field teams will be sending its throwers to Tucson, Az., this weekend to compete in the Tucson Elite Thrower's Classic, hosted by the University of Arizona.

The meet will begin at 4 p.m. with the men's hammer, followed by the women's hammer, men's and women's discus, men's javelin, men's shot put and women's javelin, while the women's shot put is the last scheduled event of the evening with an approximate start time of 8 p.m.

This weekend's meet will be the last chance for the throwers to improve their marks before NCAA Regionals next week. Memphis will have five throwers competing in the meet.
