Memphis, Tenn. - Memphis senior Lisa-Marie Hyman has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV Women's Cross Country/Track and Field First Team, it was announced Friday. The honor marks the second consecutive year that the Lady Tiger standout has been recognized as a First Team All-District team member.

Hyman, who graduated in May with a Master's Degree in Mathematical Sciences and received her Bachelor's Degree in Mathematical Sciences in 2004, continues to add to her impressive list of accomplishments both on and off the track. Along with her All-District awards, she has received the Conference USA Commissioner's Medal of Honor four times and been named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and the Dean's List 10 Semesters each.

On the track, the Kingston, Jamaica, native is a three-time conference champion and three-time conference runner-up in the triple jump and holds Memphis records in both the indoor and outdoor triple jump. Additionally, she is a two-time NCAA Mid-East Regional qualifier, and recently qualified for her first NCAA Championship meet.

After finishing school in May, Hyman will complete her career at the U of M next weekend when she travels to Sacramento, Calif., to compete in the NCAA Meet. The qualifying rounds of the women's triple jump are set for 7:30 pm on Friday, while the finals are set for 6:30 pm on Saturday.
