Athens, Greece - Former University of Memphis sprinter and current student-assistant coach, Keenan Gibson, will soon make her way onto the track in Athens, Greece to participate in the 2004 Summer Olympic Games.

Gibson, who holds U of M records in the 60m and 200m dashes, and was also the first Lady Tiger to qualify for the NCAA Championships, will be competing for her home country of Trinidad and Tobago in the Women's 4 x 100m relay. In the event, she will team with fellow countrywomen Kimberly Walker, Fana Ashby and Ayanna Hutchinson.

The first round of the Women's 4 x 100m relay is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 26, at 2 p.m. CST (10 p.m. Athen's time), with the finals slated for Friday, Aug. 27, at 3:45 CST. Both races will be held at Olympic Stadium in Athens.
