Memphis, TN-- - The University of Memphis women's cross country team placed three runners in the top 10 to take second place at their own invitational at Plough Park, Saturday.

Led by sophomore Lilly Lebron's (Kew Gardens, NY/Martin Luther) third place finish at 19:37.23, the Tigers tallied 66 points to finish runner-up to Southern Mississippi's 33 points.

Senior Melissa Greer (Dyersberg, TN/Dyersberg) finished eighth in 20:11.10 while freshman Julie Wright (McDonald, OH) rounded out the top 10 at 20:19.05. Tara Belt (Germantown, TN/Germantown) finished 16th in 21:01.01,while Andrea Dahlman (Memphis, TN/St. Agnes) and Carrie Williams (Germantown, TN/Germantown) rounded out the Tiger scoring at 29th and 30th, respectively.

Southern Miss won the individual title as well as Rebecca Thornell-Lee covered the 5K course in 19:06.03.

Ole Miss (71 points), Jackson State (107), Tennessee-Martin (139), Belhaven University (139), Arkansas State (142) and West Alabama (188) rounded out the field.

The Lady Tigers next action is at the Conference USA Championships in Charlotte, N.C., in two weeks.
