IRVING, Texas - Junior Emily Malinowski of the University of Memphis women's cross country team was selected to the Conference USA All-Academic team announced today. The award is Malinowski's second of her career.

Malinowski majors in biology, while holding a cumulative grade point average of 3.857. She has made the Tiger 3.0 Club, Tiger Academic 30 and Dean's List every semester. Malinowski received the C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal and C-USA Honor Roll in 2006 and 2007. She was also named to the C-USA All-Academic Team Track and Field in 2007.

While finishing three times under 19-minutes, Malinowski led the Lady Tigers in three out of five cross country meets this season. Her season best time of 18:21.24, led all Lady Tigers. She won the Rhodes College open beating out 99 competitors, with a winning time of 18:29.
