JONESBORO, Ark.-The University of Memphis Men's and Women's trck teams began the 2003-04 track season with a meet in early December. The Tigers and Lady Tigers won't compete again on January 20, 2004.

All C-USA Senior Lisa-Marie Hyman won the triple jump competition with a leap of 12.01m. She was followed by true freshman Cassandra Harding who placed second with a leap of 11.92m. Sophomore Lindsay Cade placed second in the high jump with a personal best jump of 1.62m. Chanel Dunn placed second in the 55m dash with a time of 7.20 and third in the 200m dash with a time of 25.40. True freshman Michel Wilson placed third in the 800m run with a time of 2:24.22. The Women's 4x400m Relay team placed second with a time of 4:01.62.

On the Men's side, Senior Adam Didyk won the 3000m run with a time of 8:42.97. Throwers Adam Martin and Gaute Myklebust placed second and third respectively in the shot put. Martin's toss of 16.19m topped teammate Mylebust who had a mark of 16.16m. Martin also placed third in the weight throw with a mark of 16.05m. Sprinter Ivan Williams placed third in the 200m dash with a time of 22.15.
