Year in Review: Volleyball

The Memphis volleyball team wrapped up a successful 2014 campaign that saw the team finish with the most wins in the program since the 2007 season and most conference wins in school history

Junior (2006)
C-USA All-Academic Team selection...Added to her outstanding career at Memphis by becoming the 17th Tiger to ever eclipse the 1,000 kill plateau...Currently ranks 14th all-time at Memphis with 1,072 career kills...For the year ranked third on the squad in kills (401), attack percentage (.216), service aces (46) and points (469)...Earned all-tournament accolades at the Memphis Invitational...Downed over 300 kills for the this consecutive year...Warmed up in the final stretch of the season, registering double figures in kills in each of the last 11 matches...Posted eight double-doubles in the year...Downed a season-high 22 kills and added 13 digs to guide the Tigers to a five-game win over Rice (9.24.06)...Made a career-high 17 digs to go with 12 kills vs. UTEP (10.27.06)...Averaged 3.17 k/g in C-USA play...Collected her 1,000th career kill vs. East Carolina (11.5.06).

Sophomore (2005)
Returns as the Tigers' leading attacker...Thrived as the No. 2 option last year and downed a career-high 366 kills (3.08 k/g)...Hit .221 on 918 swings...Earned All-Tournament honors after helping guide Memphis to the 2005 O'Charley's Tiger Invitational title...Posted team-high kill totals 10 times and match-highs in seven contests...Hammered 10 or more kills in 19 matches and posted 20 kills three times...Put together a stretch of seven-consecutive matches in which she posted at least 10 kills...Downed a career-high 23 kills in a win at UCF (10/2/05)...Hit .487 with 20 kills vs. Tulane (11/6/05)...Improved defensively, finishing the year with 79 digs...Came one dig shy of her first career double-double with 16 kills and a career-high nine digs at ECU (11/11/05).

Among one of the premier young talents in the league as a freshman...Played in 112 games and 37 matches...Drew 27 starts...Finished rookie campaign fourth on the squad with 305 kills and third with a 2.72 kills per game average...Her 305 kills is the fifth-most ever to be recorded by a Tiger freshman...Emerged as an adequate third option for the Tigers, taking 781 swings (third on the team) and finishing the season with a .213 attack percentage...Posted 320 points...Put down 147 kills in league play, posting double-digits in kills in four of the first six C-USA matches...Had 13 outings where she recorded 10 or more kills...Slammed 15 or more kills in five matches...Downed a season-high 19 kills and hit .500 with just one error versus TCU (11/11/04)...Had 18 kills in a tough five-set loss at Cincinnati (10/22/04)...Posted match highs with 15 kills and a .538 hitting clip in a sweep of ECU (10/15/04)...Notched her first double-digit kill performance with 12 kills versus Oklahoma in the BYU/Mizuno Classic...Helped lead Memphis to the MSU-Microtel Classic title with a 16-kill, .536-attack percentage performance against Mississippi State (9/18/04)...Also had 68 digs and 28 total blocks.
