The Memphis volleyball team wrapped up a successful 2014 campaign that saw the team finish with the most wins in the program since the 2007 season and most conference wins in school history
Moved into 11th place all-time at Memphis with 1,202 career kills and the 10th spot with 3,068 total attempts...Became the 17th player in Memphis history to reach the 1,000-kill mark and is 12 digs shy of becoming the 17th player to record 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career at Memphis...Led the team with 3.03 digs per game...Finished second with 442 kills (3.48/game) and 385 digs...Notched a team-high 239 kills (3.92/game) and 177 digs (2.90/game) in C-USA play...Her 442 kills is 11th on the Tiger single-season kills list, while her 1,123 total attempts is the ninth-most ever taken by a U of M hitter in a single season...Tied for 11th on the single-season digs list...Served up 46 aces...Tallied double-digits in kills in 23 matches, including a stretch of 10-straight matches... Downed 10 or more kills in 13 of the last 14 matches...Posted 15 double-doubles, including eight against C-USA opponents...Hammered 20 kills on three occasions, including a career-best and team-high 29 kills in a five-set win over Saint Louis (10/1/04)...Posted double figures in digs in 19 matches...Served up a season-high seven aces in a 3-1 win over Florida Atlantic (9/24/04).
For the second-consecutive season, Nellans finished third on the team in kills with 407, just 19 kills shy of breaking into the single-season top 10 in that category...Also led the team in digs per game with 3.02...Played in all 38 matches, starting in 35 and playing in 127 of 135 games...Finished fourth on the team with 40 service aces...Downed double-digit kills in 21 matches, surpassing the 20-kill mark twice...Set a single-match career high with 25 digs at Tulane in the second round of the Conference USA Tournament...Was the third Tiger to take at least 1,000 swings in 2003, finishing with 1,046, just 47 attacks shy of the single-season top 10 in that category.
Had a stellar freshman campaign, finishing third on the team with 353 kills, an average of 3.15 kills per game...Her 353 kills was the third-most by a freshman in Memphis volleyball history...Crushed 20 or more kills five times, including slamming 26 kills twice, once against UT-Martin (10/1/02) and once against C-USA foe Houston (10/12/02)...Downed 20 or more kills against four C-USA opponents (Houston, TCU, Marquette, East Carolina)...Her nine service aces in a match against Arkansas State in the opening game of the U of M Tournament tied a C-USA record for service aces by a freshman in a single game...At one point, was among the top 25 in the nation in service aces...Posted 19 digs against TCU, just one dig shy of her first 20-dig performance.
