Memphis got off to a slow start, but behind a match-high 17 kills from Altrese Hawkins, battled to clinch a 3-1 win over Kennesaw State in its final contest of the UIC 2010 Invite. The Tigers improve to 4-2 on the year and clinch a runner-up finish in the four-team field. Hawkins was named to the All-Tournament team.

Hawkins hit .429 to lead the Tigers. Marija Jovanovic added 11 kills for the Tigers, who hit .216 on 49 kills in the match. Hajnalka Molnar set a match-best 33 assists.

Vesna Jelic led the Memphis defense with 11 digs. Libero Christine Bach picked up nine digs.
