Altrese Hawkins downed a match-best 24 kills, Hajnalka Molnar added 38 assists and 14 digs and Christine Bach picked up a match-high 15 digs as Memphis rallied from a two-set deficit to clinch a 3-2 come-from-behind win over Tulane, Sunday afternoon in Conference USA play.

The Tigers got off to a slow start, hitting -.269 in the first set and then squandering a seven-point lead late in the second to fall behind 2-0. But they battled for a 26-24 win in the third and cruised to wins in the fourth and fifth for their fourth five-set victory of the year.

Vesna Jelic chipped in with 15 kills to help the Tigers comeback. Memphis, the league's top serving club, finished the afternoon with 12 aces. Molnar and Maja Kostic led the way with three aces each.

In just her second contest back from an ankle injury, middle blocker Katie Meyer was strong at the net, with a team-high five total blocks. After giving up a combined .447 average inthe first two sets, The Memphis defense held Tulane to a .156 attack percentage in set three, four and five.

Tulane outblocked Memphis, 18-11, and got 11 block assists from Cori Martone.

The Tigers will return to action on Fri., Nov. 5, when they face Rice in the first of four-straight road matches. First serve for Firday's tilt is set for 7 p.m.
